A Time to Spend the Evening Together

God has delivered me from going down to the pit, and I shall live to
enjoy the light of life. ~Job 33:28

The kids are tucked away in their beds, fast asleep. This is always a welcome time for Ben and I...we finally get to spend some time together. We do different things but tonight is a night unlike any other. As I finish up wrapping gifts

This is what Ben is doing
I don't know if you can tell but there
are waffles in the iron and pancakes
on the griddle!
Do I really need to say anymore?

  1. LOL!!!! Ben, you crack me up. Not because I think you are weird, or over the top but because I can see myself in your all or nothing moments! Hey and btw they keep great in the freezer and then pop them in the toaster.

  2. Yeah, that's what we do. There are now over 50 frozen waffles and over 50 frozen pancakes in the freezer...in case you ever wondered how much an entire bulk size box of Bisquick made!

  3. that's great! Ha. I love freezing leftover pancakes and waffles. With Jack's egg allergy I can't use premade or premix stuff, so it is worth it to make extra and freeze some. I'd really like to get an extra freezer this coming year.
I LOVE the new family picture! What an amazing picture, you should definately have that framed!

  4. Thank you, Andrea. We had family pics taken this fall and this is one of them. We have two chest freezers because Ben's dad is a beef farmer and they give us a side of beef each year. That alone takes up one whole freezer so we needed another one to be able to freeze other things..I'm big on making things ahead and freezing...it's such a time and life saver!
